Kirkwall, Orkney Islands, Scotland

On this rainy day, Brooke and Todd and I walked around for just a little while to take some quick pictures. We took cover in a beautiful, brick cathedral and then strolled through its eerily picturesque cemetery. Before heading back to the ship, Todd and I decided we just had to get some delicious fish ‘n’ chips, and try some Scotch and haggis! Haggis looks like ground sausage, and is a traditional Scottish dish combining sheep heart, liver and lungs with oatmeal and herbs all cooked inside the stomach lining. It smelled worse than it tasted. Not exactly crave-able, but not too bad either!

Haggis sandwich....what isn't good with melted cheese and a fresh baguette?!?
